Outdoor Pollution Controller: A device that purifies polluted air in public places

According to World Health Organization (WHO), about 4.2 million deaths in a year take place due to exposure to air pollution. Vehicular emission and road dust are major cause of air pollution in India.

Meet Amol Chaphekar, managing director of Strata Group, who has created a device that purifies polluted air in public places. The ‘Outdoor Pollution Controller’ is improving air quality at traffic intersections, airports and railway stations.

It improves air quality within a radius of 60 feet. The device can clean 2,000 cubic feet of air in one minute.

The cost of ‘Outdoor Pollution Controller’ is Rs 1-5 lakh and maintenance of one controller unit costs Rs 3,000 per month. A visible improvement in air quality recorded in deployment zones. The company is targeting 100 cities in India for ‘Outdoor Pollution Controller’.
