Nike has come to the rescue of basket players to start with!
The company has launched self-lacing 'Adapt BB' shoe line which can be controlled by a button or a smartphone app.
When a player steps into the Nike adapt BB, custom motor and gear train senses the tension needed by the foot and adjusts to keep the foot snug.
The tensile strength of the underfoot lacing can pull 32 pounds of force so that the foot is secured through a range of movement.
The app allows the player to input different fit settings. You can have one setting for the game and change it for the timeout.
The shoe will automatically loosen or tighten as per your setting. Nike team invited a group of professional players including Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum for trials.
Nike plans to bring the system to shoes for other sports soon. The Nike Adapt BB shoes will go on sale on February 17 in USA and will cost $350.
