Merger with engineering major Larson and Toubro (L&T) will give the company a new global breadth, said Schneider Electric CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire.
French automation giant Schneider Electric has acquired L&T's electric and automation (E&A) business for Rs 14,000 crore.
The company is awaiting the competition commission of India's (CCI) nod for the merger, Tricoire said.
"India has tremendous potential for what we do which is energy management and automation," he said, adding that Schnieder brings bundles of energy and digital solution to its customers.
India is offering a lot of possibilities in this domain and the IT industry is building data centers and Schneider is a world leader in supplying energy infrastructure to data centers, he further added.
