ISRO will launch GSAT-7A aboard GSLV-F11 on December 19.
GSLV-F11 is ISRO's fourth generation launch vehicle with three stages. The 2,250 kg GSAT-7A is the 35th Indian communication satellite built by ISRO.
It will be launched from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre Shar, Sriharikota.
GSLV in its 13th flight will will inject GSAT-7A into a geosynchronous transfer orbit. The satellite will provide communication capability to the users in KU-band over the Indian region.
KU-band is a satellite frequency band ranging from 12-18 ghz. GSAT-7A has a mission life of a minimum of 8 years.
