Infosys Foundation signs an MoU with Karnataka Police to help set up a centre for Cybercrime Investigation Training and Research (CCITR) in Bengaluru.
This will help the authorities to develop capabilities in tackling rising instances of cyber crime. CCITR aims to train police, prosecution, judiciary and other departments in handling technology investigations.
The centre will also be used to perform research in digital forensics and cybercrime investigation. The foundation will support the setup cost, facility mgmt, operational costs and maintenance
They will also provide investment for hardware, software and working capital requirements for training. Along with digital forensic analysis and technological infrastructure, the foundation will also upgrade the existing cyber lab.
