India's annual per capita public health expenditure is Rs 1,112, which comes at Rs 3 per day, said a report by Indiaspend.com.

The National Health Profile 2018 points out that India's spend on public health is just 1.02 percent of its GDP.

Sri Lanka's per capita expenditure is four times that of India whereas Indonesia's per capital expenditure is double.

This in turn, makes India one of the lowest public health spenders in the world.
