GST Council meeting adjourned till February 24

The 33rd GST Council meet was adjourned by finance minister Arun Jaitley till Sunday, saying that the members wanted the meeting to be held in person.

Jaitley said that the members were looking to have more discussions on the GST rate proposals for the real estate sector and added that a decision might be taken on the same in the next meeting.

The council also decided to extend the deadline for filing GSTR-3B by two days. The FM further said that the proposal regarding lotteries was not discussed in today's meet.

Nifty Realty at 2.14 PM is slightly lower on NSE by 0.07 percent. DLF Ltd lost the most and is down by 1.53 percent along with Sunteck Realty and Oberoi Realty which slipped by 0.75 percent and 0.57 percent respectively. However, Unitech stood as the only one that gained the most by 4.35 percent. Furthermore, Brigade Enterprises is also trading higher by 1.69 percent and Prestige Estates Project rose by 1.49 percent along with its other peers.
