US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross participated in the CEO Forum through video conference. Parikshit Luthra of CNBC TV18 caught up with James Taiclet of American Tower Corporation, who is also the co-Chairman of the Indo-US CEO Forum.
Speaking on ease of doing business, he said, "Both from the government and companies point of view, very collaborative and very constructive discussions are taking place. We have a two-year programme that we are intending to put in place and the goal really at the end of the day is to improve jobs and improve the conditions and the economies of both countries jointly."
He further added, "Under the administration that is currently in place in India, there has been dramatic improvements on ease of doing business, and it will continue to improve I think. Factors such as the certainty and consistency of policies and communication are the kind of factors that are going to improve the ease of doing business even further over the next few years."
During this forum, some of the top business leaders from India and United States gathered in Delhi today for the latest iteration of the Indo-US CEO Forum. The forum precedes the Indo-US commercial dialogue which identifies the areas of commercial cooperation between the two countries.
