Chef Garima Arora was awarded one Michelin Star for her Bangkok restaurant, GAA.
This was the second edition of the 'Michelin guide Bangkok, Phuket and Phang-NGA 2019 selection.' GAA is a Indo-Thai restaurant in Bangkok.
Started in 2017, GAA is only 1.5 years old, the restaurant has earned the Michelin star for its inventive Asian fare.
Chef Arora has worked with some of the best culinary chefs in the world, René Redzepi, Gordon Ramsay and Gaggan Anand.
A Punjabi girl from Mumbai, Arora studied mass media at Jai Hind college  and worked as a journalist for a newspaper for a short span of time. She went to Paris to pursue her passion.
She is a Le cordon Bleu, Paris alumnus.
