Temasek, an over $200 billion fund owned by the Singapore government is bullish on India and in the last few months their texture of investment has tilted towards online opportunities. Nisha Poddar caught up with Ravi Lambah of Temasek on their investment strategy in India.
He said, "We are looking at developments beyond that as I said broadly in international services and consumer and in agri. So agritech is an important part for us. We see India playing a important role in the agritech space, it is not just about supply chain, it is not just about doing good in the tech side of the agri. But you can create a very good business model not just for achieving food security in their country, in the region as we have seen necessary during COVID, but also becoming a large exporter."
He added, "We like the banks for the opportunity they provide, we like insurance, we like fintech and we like the credit space, so this is all part of our financial services strategy."Watch the video for more.
