Cement company UltraTech Cement is all set to announce its earnings for the first quarter of the fiscal. It’s expected to be a weak quarter for the company.
On the topline, a de-growth of around 27 percent is expected while the operating profit is likely to take a harder hit and that will fall by around 40 percent. This would mean margins will compress by around 400-500 bps and profitability will also take a harder hit.
Besides the operational performance, the management commentary is going to be extremely crucial. The company has exited some of its non-core assets in the past quarter, therefore, the debt number will be among the key things to watch out for.
