Puneet Chhatwal, MD & CEO of Indian Hotels, spoke to CNBC-TV18 about the company's second-quarter earnings and outlook.
Chhatwal said that the fundamentals of the business are strong, one-off impact will come and go.
“To a great extent we were able to mitigate this exceptional loss through the sale of our property and our subsidiary in Vishakhapatnam in Q2 and modification to our management contract in Boston in Q1,” he said.
Talking about the earnings, Chhatwal said, “We are on the right path and over the business cycle we want to achieve 25 percent. So from 17 percent to 19 or 19.5 percent or 20 percent, if we get in the very first year then 25 percent is within the striking range.”
