New Year 2020: Educate yourself with the 'lingo' that millennials are speaking

Updated : January 01, 2020 10:16 PM IST

We may be groggy eyed from last night's celebrations but here's something new - learn the new 'lingo' that the millennials are speaking.

Life to the fullest - ‘YOLO’ because you only live once and as per the new lingo, gone are the days when you have to look good for the New Year party, you have to be ‘on fleek’ to make a statement.

At the party, people will ‘spill some tea’ because gossip is too mainstream and of course, one party is not enough, so you will have to ‘bounce’ from one party to the other. People will go ‘cray’ according to the new vocabulary and not crazy because ‘bruh’ – that’s what millennials do.

Also in 2020, I have decided that I will not be angry because millennials now get ‘salty’ if they are upset over something small and I will not be fit but ‘swol’ because that's what millennials prefer

It is also basic that savage workout pics have to be on Instagram with hashtags because otherwise one will suffer from ‘FOMO’ that’s fear of missing out.

Going on a diet will definitely not be a New Year resolution because food is ‘bae’  but yes, if I don't get food, I will be ‘hangry’ and I cannot even think about not having food and ‘Yaas’, New Year – that’s something that is teaching us that adulating is extremely difficult because on January 1st we are in offices and we are working.
