SpiceHealth, part of SpiceJet, on Wednesday said it plans to scale up to 100 RT-PCR mobile test laboratories.
Avani Singh, chief executive officer of SpiceHealth, said, "The plan is to try and deploy as many mobile laboratories that we have built in the most congested parts of the country. We hope to add 10 labs by the end of November."
This comes after SpiceHealth, a company founded by the promoters of the airline and led by Ajay Singh's 24-year-old daughter Avani, signed an MoU with the ICMR to set up mobile laboratories that provide RT-PCR tests for COVID-19 at affordable rates.
In fact, union home minister Amit Shah inaugurated SpiceHealth's first mobile laboratory in Delhi earlier this week.
SpiceHealth said it would be providing RT-PCR tests starting at Rs 499 and test reports would be available within six hours.
