After the GST council exempted sanitary napkins from GST, Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Johnson & Johnson have passed on the benefits to consumers. The companies have announced 2-3 percent cut on prices effective July 27.
The companies are in the process of rolling out the new packs with revised MRPs into the market and also speaking with retailers on how this can be passed on to consumers instantly.
Johnson & Johnson spokesperson said that they have cut prices for Stayfree across SKUs. P&G on the other hand said that they are committed to pass on GST rate reduction to consumers. They have updated the systems and are passing on the net benefits starting July 27.
