India’s social commerce sector to double in size in 10 years, finds report

A recent report by Sequoia India and Bain titled 'The Future of Commerce in India' shows that India’s social commerce sector will be two times the size of the current e-commerce market within 10 years.

According to the report, the social commerce sector which today is a USD 1.5-2 billion GMV market, will be worth USD 16-20 billion in five years and is likely hit USD 60-70 billion by 2030.

To talk more about the potential in the social commerce space and the findings of the report, CNBC-TV18 spoke to Mohit Bhatnagar, Managing Director of Sequoia India.
