“The demand scenario is very strong, much better than August and September, so it’s picking up. Probably the postponement of demand would have happened and now it is coming back because Diwali approaching. So there is a strong demand visible,” Abhijit Roy, MD & CEO of Berger Paints India told CNBC-TV18.
He expected to see double digit growth in auto paints this month, but on a low base.
“In terms of growth, it should be low single digit because we began with a negative sales figure. So even if we grow in double digit and strong double digit in Q2, Q3 and Q4, we will still be growing only at low single digit by the end of the year,” Roy said.
