Talbros Automotive Components has bagged a multi-year order for supplying of body in white design parts to a large European car manufacturer.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18 about the order, Joint Managing Director of the company said, “We have won the order from a European carmaker for about Rs 14 crore per annum and the life of the order is about Rs 94 crore. We have been working on increasing our export order book and this is in-line with that.”
Anuj Talwar said the company’s export order book currently stands at 27 percent.
“Our orderbook in exports is about 27 percent on the base. We are constantly working with OEMs in the US, Europe, and Japan to increase our footwork out there,” he said.
Talwar said that they are seeing good demand from domestic clients as well.
“We supply to Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, and HMSI and we are seeing a good demand from Hero as well as Bajaj right now. So, there is not such a slowdown happening in the two wheeler segment,” he said.
He also said that they are working with leading car makers for BS-VI which could require some capex in H1FY22. He said that the company’s current capacity utilisation is at 80 percent.
On the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme, he said that they were looking at the fine print and assessing scalability before taking a call.
