For nearly eight decades, the Dubai-based Regal Group has established its identity as a textile retailer in the Middle East. But the company is looking to expand not just in terms of geographies, but also in the segments it's looking to do business in.
Regal has also been giving its e-commerce arm, a boost. The company's merchandise is now available across its partner websites, which the company says allows for repeat customers to keep coming back to shop for Regal's products. The company is hopeful of shipping these products across the globe, with an average processing time of two days per order.
Even amid these expansion plans, Regal is in the middle of plotting to complete its relatively recent foray into real estate. After having bought large tracts of land in 2012 when Dubai's property prices were at a historic low, and building swank homes, the group wants to continue leverage its land assets to service a market that is still in recovery mode. For this, the group plans to set aside a whopping 400 million dirhams as investment.
