The government may finalise a product-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for specialty steel, which would make the sector lucrative.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, RK Goyal, MD of Kalyani Steels said, "We have a large capacity to produce specialty steel and super specialty steel. Therefore, we are looking at utilising the same as it will help us become more competitive."
On the business front, Goyal said, "We have almost Rs 500 crore of free cash available and as and when we decide about the investment plan we will decide whether to raise more money."
The company is looking at greenfield, brownfield expansion and inorganic growth, he added.
