To meet the festive demand, Air India will fly its jumbo jet on Mumbai and Kolkata routes. The 423-seater, double-decker Boeing 747 aircraft will operate one flight per day each to Kolkata and Mumbai from New Delhi between October 16-21.
Two flights per day between Delhi and Mumbai from November 1 to 11. Usually, Air India operates the Boeing 747 aircraft on international routes and for ferrying VVIPs.
These planes have 12, 26 and 385 seats in first, business and economy classes respectively.
