German automobile manufacturer Mercedes Benz has a very ambitious plan to make all of their passenger cars carbon neutral by the year 2030. To make that an eventuality, sustainability is going to be a key focus this year.
The company has recently launched electric mobility sub-brand EQ. The EQ brand signifies a full electric mobility ecosystem in a range of products like the EQ Boost, Electrified petrol engines, and EQ power plug-in hybrids.
The first EQ vehicle to be launched in the Indian market this year will be the EQC SUV which promises a range of 471 kilometres and brings the car to up to 80 percent of charge in just 40 minutes.
Power comes in from an 80 kilowatt per hour battery and the EQC is powered by two electric motors mounted on each axle which gives it all-wheel-drive capabilities.
