Passenger vehicle sales have continued to remain strong even post Diwali, said PB Balaji, Group CFO of Tata Motors Group in an interview to CNBC-TV18.
“We are seeing significant traction in terms of consumer uptake of our products and additionally, post the pandemic there is a demand resurgence in passenger vehicles (PV) lead out of need for privacy, freedom and same commute. Therefore, our order book in passenger vehicles remains strong,” he said.
Tata Motors is seeing a sequential recovery in the commercial vehicle segment and medium and heavy commercial vehicles are beginning to join the party, said Balaji.
“The segment that has not done well is the passenger bus segment, but maybe in the new financial year we should start see that moving as well,” he said.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will have the most exciting product portfolio and will be cash flow positive from FY22, he said.
