'Have been enrolling over 1,000 drivers on a daily basis over the last week,' Meru said.

Meru had 2,000 cabs in Mumbai before the Ola, Uber strike and it charges 12 percent commission from drivers while Ola and Uber charge an average of 20 percent.

Meru's per km fare is Rs 12-22 depending on the vehicle. The company is in early talks with investors for fund raising to further ramp up operations.

It is present in 24 cities and runs 30,000-35,000 cabs on a pan-India basis.
