Homegrown auto major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Friday launched 'World of SUVs' dealerships for a premium experience.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Veejay Ram Nakra, chief of sales and marketing, Automotive Division, said, "Our strategy from the beginning has always been a frugal strategy. We believe in investing in dealers and vehicles. Hence our strategy even now with the three new launches has been, how do we ensure that we recreate a consumer experience in the same physical space in which the dealer has already invested crore of rupees."
He said, "Let us not forget that it is a temporary phenomenon that people may delay buying vehicles but it does not mean they will not buy vehicles. While they may not be visiting physical infrastructures for vehicles, they are still searching online for vehicles. Hence our strategy has been exactly around that. We call it phygital (physical+digital)."
