Hyundai's upcoming hatchback, code-named 'AH2', is likely to be christened 'Santro.' In August, Hyundai had launched 'Naamkaran', a campaign inviting customers to suggest names for the AH2.
The campaign received an overwhelming response with more than four lakh votes. Over 50% of customers want the AH2 to be called 'Santro.'
Other suggestions include 'i5', 'Splash' and 'Saneon.'
The latest offering from Hyundai will make its global debut on October 23, 2018. The pre-bookings for the Hyundai AH2 will begin on October 10, 2018.
AH2 will sit between the Eon and Grand i10 in the company's line-up and will carry a similar design language. Once launched, the car will rival Celerio, WagonR, Tiago and the Kwid 1.0.
