Tata Power signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Maharashtra to set up 100 charging stations for electric vehicles in the state while Tata Motors said it would supply about 1000 EVs.
Tata Power CEO Praveer Sinha said the company had already installed six charging stations, while nine stations went online on Thursday. Stations would be added on the basis of demand, he added.
“We are looking at something like 30-40 within this financial year”, Sinha told CNBC-TV18.
These charging stations are vehicle agnostic and can be used to charge any type of electric vehicle.
