Eicher Motors is expecting to witness some growth in the fourth quarter of financial year 2019, said Vinod Aggarwal, managing director and CEO of the company.
Royal Enfield, the two-wheeler division of Eicher Motors, on Tuesday reported a 13 percent decline in total sales to 58,278 units in December. The company had sold 66,968 units in December last year, it said in a statement.
“The stress has been basically led by financing, liquidity crunch, the NBFCs under stress as a lot of financing has been curtailed by them," said Aggarwal, adding "used trucks financing is also under strain and at the same time there is some impact of axle load norms."
“However, within heavy duty trucks the tippers are doing very well. So construction segment or the infrastructure segment is continuing to do well,” he added.
