Delhi now has four fully Automated Driving Test Centres (ADTC). They are situated at Mayur Vihar phase i RTO, Vishwas Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan and Shakur Basti.
ADTCs will use access control with biometric and Rfid recognition system. Applicants will be permitted entry only at pre-assigned time slots. Scientifically designed test tracks and multiple high definition cameras at ADTCs will help evaluate applicants against 20 essential driving skills in-line with Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR).
These centres have tracks to test reverse parallel parking, up-gradient, forward-8, Reverse-S, traffic junction, H-track for four-wheelers.
A track to test overtaking skills has also been introduced. The infrastructure has been jointly developed by Maruti Suzuki and Delhi's transport department.
Maruti has invested over Rs 20 crore to set up these facilities and will maintain it for the next 3 years. It will set up 8 more ADTCs in Lado Sarai, Raja Garden, Hari Nagar, Burari, Loni, Rohini, Jharoda Kalan and Dwarka.
