Audi launches its first all-electric SUV, E-tron at €79,900 (starting price in Germany). It is a full-size SUV similar to Audi Q5 and Q7.
It is equipped with the high-end media centre 'MMI Navigation Plus' including LTE advanced and a Wi-Fi hotspot as standard. The E-tron gets HD cameras instead of rear view mirrors.
It is powered by two electric motors. It features Quattro electric all-wheel-drive as standard and power is drawn from large lithium-ion battery fixed beneath the passenger cabin.
The car will go on sale in the European markets by 2018-end and E-tron is likely to be launched in India by 2019.
