Aston Martin has commissioned 24 'very special' Superleggeras called DBS 59. The special edition cars are being built to celebrate Aston Martin's legendary 1959 Le mans win in 'DBR1.'
Le mans is a 24-hour endurance race held annually since 1923. So there are 24 DBS 59S being built - one for each hour of the race. The DBS 59 is painted in Aston Martin's racing green.
It features extensive use of gloss finish carbon fibre, leather interiors and other bespoke elements inspired by DBR1 make the car unique. Each DBS 59 will have a small painted white roundel adjacent to the side strakes, with numbers from 1-24.
The cars are commissioned through the personalisation service, Q by Aston Martin.
