Anuj Khaturia, President of Global Trucks at Ashok Leyland , spoke to CNBC-TV18 on the outlook for business, the new axle load norms and the factors that will drive the company's growth ahead.
"In August, usually the demand is less but this year has been different," said Khaturia, adding that," the tipper demand continues to be robust and expect to remain strong backed by demand from infrastructure," Khaturia said on the sidelines of SIAM Annual Convention.
"After GST implementation, the hub and spoke model has matured, which is driving demand for high tonnage, high power vehicle" said Khaturia.
Khaturia also confirmed that there has not been any negative impact of the new axle norms. "Going forward they would be working on badging vehicles with new axle load norms," he added.
