When BMW launched the S6 in the Indian market a decade ago, the coupe body style for SUV was relatively unheard of. Since then, coupe body style becomes very popular across various segments and BMW decided to expand its coupe SUV range with the new BMW X4.
Like the new X3, the 5 and the 7 series, the X4 is built on BMW cluster architecture (CLAR) which has helped it lose weight and appear sleeker than the model that it replaces.
In India, BMW is only offering the X4 in its M sport, which is good news as it bumps up the aggression and gets you the blue calipers which further contributes to the sportier stance of this car.
When it comes to its body style, the X4 has no direct competition in the Indian market. But when considered it's intent and pricing, then it goes up against the likes of the Jaguar F-Pace as well as its more practical sibling the X3.
