It’s been more than a week since thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and other North Indian states started camping at Delhi borders, demanding a rollback of the centre's new farm laws.
Representatives from over 30 farmer bodies and top government ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal met for the second time today. However, according to sources, there is no breakthrough yet.
Sources say that the government delegation made a presentation to the farmers on the three farm bills but there is no assurance on bringing a law to ensure MSP. The next round of meeting is expected to be held on December 5.
CNBC-TV18’s Parikshit Luthra gets more details from the meeting.
