Bharti Airtel set to lose 7 crore customers as it ends its ‘lifetime free incoming’ plan: report
Telecom major Bharti Airtel is likely to lose 5-7 crore customers as the company is looking to end its ‘lifetime free incoming’ plan and will be asking customers to maintain a minimum balance of Rs 35, The Hindu BusinessLine reported.
The telecoms major is not worried about the loss and is looking to generate more average revenue per user (ARPU) as many SIMs under that plan were not being used, a senior company executive told BusinessLine on condition of anonymity.
The company in October decided to do away with its lifetime free incoming calls plan for prepaid customers.
