ISRO to launch Chandrayaan-2: Lesser known facts about India's moon mission

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch the second moon mission, Chandrayaan-2 on July 15— a day before the first lunar landing, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first walked on the moon, 50 years ago. Chandrayaan-2 is the first spacecraft that will make a soft landing on moon's south pole on September 6, 2019, and will conduct experiments on the lunar terrain with home-grown technology.
