Finally, Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL were unveiled in the US on Tuesday during Google's I/O 2019 address. Both the smartphones are priced at $399 (roughly Rs 27,791) and $479 (roughly Rs 33,500) respectively.
However, the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will be available in India at a price of Rs 39,999 and Rs 44,999 respectively in Flipkart, which is not cheap by any Indian standards. Both smartphones will be available from May 15, 2019, for buyers.
According to BGR, Google imports Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL and thus it pays import duty but even after that, the pricing seems to be on the higher end of the spectrum. Pixel 3a’s cost must have been determined at over Rs 100 for a dollar while that of Pixel 3a XL at over Rs 93 for a dollar.
Google Pixel 3a features a 3.5mm headphone jack and an OLED display. The smartphone runs a 10nm Snapdragon 670 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage.
For the camera lovers, you get a 12-megapixel rear snapper of f/1.8 aperture. Google is using the same Sony IMX363 sensor as on the Pixel 3 series. Up front, there is a single 8-megapixel sensor (f/2.0 aperture). Camera features like Playground, Night Sight, Portrait Mode and HDR+ are available on the smartphone.
