Ola to soon see top management rejig, says report
Ola co-founder Ankit Bhati may soon become the Bengaluru-based unicorn’s CEO in a likely rejig in its top management, Business Standard reported, citing sources.
Bhavish Aggarwal, the other co-founder of the company, is likely to be named as the group chief executive officer, according to the report. Ola's group includes Foodpanda, the India cab business and the international operations.
The report of the management rejig comes after at least nine senior executives stepped down from the company in the last few months.
Bhati will take charge of the reorganisation of the company and will help support the leadership team, while, Aggarwal will focus on the fundraising and will help boost the business of Foodpanda, the report said.
The company's group structure was planned keeping in mind the expansion of the firm in the international market. It recently sent an exploratory team to Nairobi, Kenya, in order to check if it can set up a  business there, added the report.
