After Ola, Foodpanda drivers may call for a strike over salary: report
Taking cue from Ola drivers, online food delivery firm Foodpanda delivery executives may go on a strike over compensation, the Business Standard reported.
The frustration among the executives stems from the promises made by the company at the time of hiring but were never fulfilled, the report said.
Foodpanda delivery executives were assured that they would get paid as much as Rs 50,000 per month while Ola drivers were promised that if they worked hard enough and long enough they would be able to make almost Rs 100,000 per month (including incentives based on number of rides a day).
There were promises made on surge and demand. But the demand never kept up with the supply. Now whispers around Foodpanda delivery executives going on strike are growing louder, said the report.
Ola drivers called off their strike on Tuesday after chief minister Devendra Fadnavis met their union leader and assured resolution, the report added.
