Ecommerce major Flipkart is likely to adjust its fee structure for sellers from Friday which could result in a drop in prices, reported The Times of India.
According to the new changes in its seller policy, Flipkart is slashing ‘fixed fee’ across the categories, that is, slashing off the pre-order fee imposed on sellers for every product listed based on the price, the report said.
The company will also bring down its commissions on select categories such as fashion and accessories, the daily said.
The drop in commission and the fixed fee is applicable across various price points in the new policy, it said.
The drop in commission charges is in the range of Rs 5-12 across various categories and average selling prices for the fixed fee of products in the range between Rs 500 and Rs 1,000, is being reduced to Rs 15 from Rs 20, the report said.
