Tata Group's electoral arm spends about Rs 600 crore in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, says report

In an official filling made by the Progressive Electoral Trust, the Tata Group's election funding vehicle, it disbursed Rs 25.11 crore to political parties in the financial year 2014-15.
Of the total disbursement, Rs 220 crore came from the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the software company had reported in its March quarter results.
It is reported that the biggest chunk of the funding, an estimate of Rs 300-350 crore has been disbursed to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while Congress received about Rs 50 crore, the report said.
