The monsoon is expected to cover Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, Bengal and Uttar Pradesh from June 19-27, while July and August will see normal rainfall, says the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
El Niño will not impact the monsoon rainfall in the coming months, while water reservoirs and crop sowing are unlikely to be impacted, says the IMD.
