Lok Sabha election results 2019: Nitin Gadkari wins Nagpur seat by a margin of 2 lakh votes

Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday won the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat by defeating Congress candidate Nana Patole by a massive margin of over 2 lakh votes.

Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday won the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat by defeating Congress candidate Nana Patole by a massive margin of over 2 lakh votes.
According to Election Commission, Gadkari has polled 6,37,605 votes while Patole secured 4,321,71 votes.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Gadkari, who had also served as BJP national president, won this seat by defeating the INC candidate by a margin of 2,84,848 votes which was 26.25 percent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 54.17 percent in 2014 in the seat. There were a total of 33 contestants in 2014.
