The BJP's Jagannath Sarkar (Ranaghat), Jyotiroy Mahato (Purulia), Khagen Murmu (Malda North), Shantanu Thakur (Bongaon), Doodh Kumar Mondal (Birbhum), Soumitra Khan (Bishnupur), Arjun Singh (Barrackpur), and SS Ahluwalia (Burdwan0-Durgapur) are in the lead.
Elections in the state were held in seven-phases beginning April 11, with 466 candidates, including 54 women, in the fray.
