The Bharatiya Janata Party may actually end up winning between one and three seats in the southern state of Kerala, if pollsters are to be believed, who otherwise are in consensus that the Congress-led United Democratic Front may make major gains over the Left Democratic Front in these elections.
The Times Now—VMR exit poll results has predicted the UDF to win 15 out of 20 seats in Kerala. The survey has given just four seats to the Left front, while it has predicted a single seat for the BJP-led NDA in the state.
The India Today—Axis exit poll has also predicted handsome gains for the Congress-led UDF, giving it between 15 and 16 seats. The UDF is expected to win between 3 and 5 seats. The India Today survey also predicts BJP to open its account in Kerala winning a single seat.
The News18—Ipsos exit poll results predict the LDF to win between 11-13 seats. The News18 survey has given the Congress-led UDF to win between 7 and 9 seats.
The News24—Chanakya predicts 16 seats for the UDF and four seats for the Left front.
The News Nation has predicted the Congress alliance to win 16 seats and the LDF being contained to just 4 seats.
Kerala's all 20 Lok Sabha seats went to the polls on April 23 in the third phase. In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the Congress alliance had won 12 seats and the LDF won 8 seats.
