Janata Dal (United) leader Prashant Kishor is once again in news for his political stratagems and election management after the Jaganmohan Reddy-led YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) stormed to power in Andhra Pradesh, winning 150 assembly seats out of 175.

Not just for assembly election results, Kishor is also getting credit for the YSRCP's spectacular Lok Sabha show as the regional party also won 22 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats at stake. Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has been reduced to just three Lok Sabha seats.
In a tweet, Prashant Kishor has congratulated Jaganmohan Reddy and his colleagues at Indian Political Action (IPA) for the incredible victory.
Jagan Mohan's YSRCP had lost the 2014 assembly election mainly due to lack of a robust organisation. It had polled 45.4 percent votes securing just 66 seats against TDP's 48.2 percent votes for 103 seats.
Kishor started working with Jagan from last year and a half, providing consultancy to build an organisation right from the booth level.
For this, Kishor and IAC managed to enrol more than 20,000 youth with Jagan, handling almost 70 percent of campaign work in the 175 constituencies. IAC meticulously formed 11 member teams for manning 46,000 booths in the state in the run-up to the assembly polls.
A voter outreach programme for YSRCP to establish a direct rapport with the voters in Andhra Pradesh was conceived culminating into Jagan Mohan set out on a 15-month Praja Sankalpa Padayatra to achieve this goal. Kishor and team also handled in creating campaign themes, songs and slogans built around it.
Kishor first hit headlines after helping Narendra Modi win 2012 Gujarat assembly election and become chief minister for the third time beating anti-incumbency.
The Janata Dal (United) leader entered Andhra Pradesh election campaign with the stunning victory of Narendra Modi-powered BJP in 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP's rout in Bihar state polls in 2015 and the return of the Congress to power in Punjab to his credit.
