Chandrayaan 2: From enthusiasm to disappointment — India's Moon landing attempt in pictures

SUMMARY

India's 'Mission Moon', Chandrayaan 2, seems to have failed, as lander ‘Vikram’ lost communication with the ground station minutes before the crucial touchdown on the lunar surface. The disappointment was visible on the faces of ISRO scientists as they stopped getting any communication from the lander. ISRO, however, has said that it is not sure if lander ‘Vikram’ crash-landed.
