QS World University Rankings for Asia 2020: These are the top ten universities in India

IITs, led by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, dominated the QS World University Rankings for Asia 2020. While IITs secured seven of the top ten positions, the remaining spots were held by IISC, Bengaluru, University of Delhi and the University of Hyderabad. These are the top ten universities in India:

9. IIT Guwahati: This was the sixth Indian Institute of Technology established in the country. The history of IIT Guwahati traces its roots to the 1985 Assam Accord signed between the All Assam Students Union and the government of India, which mentions the general improvement in education facilities in Assam and specifically the setting up of an IIT.
