SUMMARY
Politicians, educationists and leaders have time and again turned to Rabindranath Tagore to draw inspiration from his quotes

While presenting the Union Budget last year, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had quoted Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore to draw a parallel with the situation faced by the country in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. (Image Shutterstock)

She used the above quote to highlight the dawn of a new era, “where India is well-poised to be the land of hope and promise."

At the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in September 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended his speech with the above quote from the Nobel laureate. The lines translate to "one should proceed in the path of good deed boldly and overcome all weaknesses and doubts in the endeavour". PM Modi had said the lines were relevant to all nations.

Speaking about the value of time, Tagore wrote the above quote, which is still relevant to each one of us.

The above message holds significance even today, given that we all need to balance work and life.

Tagore drew inspiration and positivity from everything. His words inspire us to look at the brighter side of things.

For those craving success without enjoying life, Tagore's words are simply inspirational.

His words teach each one of us to view our mistakes as an opportunity to learn and develop ourselves.
