Wash your hands: One of the key precautions a person can take is to wash one's hands regularly with soap or hand sanitiser. This is particularly important if a person has come in to touch with other persons or surfaces. Individuals should wash hands properly especially after coughing, sneezing, using the bathroom and before eating or preparing food.

Stay home if you have symptoms: Isolating oneself from others is essential to prevent further spread of the virus. If one shows symptoms of the virus such as cough and sneeze, they should voluntarily avoid contacting others even if they are yet to be tested positive for coronavirus. And the person should not hesitate from taking medical assistance if they show any of the symptoms. (AP Photo/Mark Baker)
